NORTH RIVER SCENES

The North River is a very special tidal river. In the early 1700's big boats were built on the river and floated out at the huge full moon equinox tides. The boat 'the Columbia' was built in the river and sailed around the tip of South America and up to a river that was named after the boat, the Columbia River in Washington.
The James Library and Center for the Arts is having an annual show depicting North River paintings www.firstparishnorwell.org/james.html
