A GOOD LONG LOOK

My trusty camera died about 2 weeks ago. I am going to wait until I return to the states next week to replace it. Puerto Vallarta is one hard place to leave. I am going to miss this view and of course the perfect temperature and kind people I cross paths with every day.
Tonight is our monthly opening at STUDIO 277. I will post a YOUTUBE next week. The show looks terrific exhibiting 9 artist's work.

Rustic and Crusty

South of Puerto Vallarta is the village of Yelapa, accessible only by boat. Yelapa is a blast from the past : very simple, rustic and suited to a very bare bones,  natural, care free lifestyle. .....inhabited by many artists.

CHIPS Y HUMMUS

A lot of chips are consumed in Mexico. They are delicious and hummus is a nice break from the every day salsa and gaucamole. Puerto Vallarta has a Farmers Market every Saturday with Organic produce, and fresh organic hummus, pasta, homemade sauces, meats, flowers, soaps, essential oils, fresh breads and baked goods. They even have puppies and kittens for sale and a chinese cook stand for breakfast while you are shopping! All of this to live music. It is definitely a "happening'

COMMISSION

Kind of weird to be painting a summer scene with a fresh foot of snow outside! This is a commission. I have painted variations of this scene throughout the years. Apparently this beach is now completely gone due to erosion, storms and earth shifts. I hope the painting is well received. Time to go and shovel.
