THE BIG APPLE

What a great experience in NYC . My first night staying with my friend, artist Lynn Cooper in the East Village. She is a portrait painter and can be contacted at enki2000@aol.com. We went to a way cool POETRY PROJECT at St Marks church commemorating Peter Orlavsky, Alan Ginsburg's partner. The beat generation lives.

HEART WORK

Painting figures isn't my strength and I admire artists who do it with ease. This was a real struggle. The beauty of acrylics is that you can just keep plugging until something OK appears. This is a section of a larger painting

Saturday night September 11 www.northriverarts.org is having the long awaited OTB reception. Painters were asked to paint 'outside the box' and all the unsigned work has been silently auctioned off. The artists and winning bidders will be revealed on Saturday night.
