I am still reworking several pieces for my upcoming show in October at Bella's Restaurant in Rockland MA and the Fort Point Channel Gallery in Boston November. I want to go bolder and more quiet but just ain't happening. Who is in charge?

When I am not in the mood to start a new painting in my Studio...I take an old painting.. (stacks of them......right? ) and touch it up..try and bring it back to life. It is interesting to see what style the muse has in store

I am in the midst of the Leslie Saeta 30 day paint challenge so please bear with me. These are just the start to 2 abstract pieces. I have no idea how they will end  up...but I will post when I am finished. I am always open to suggestions from fellow painters.

I am always intrigued by paintings of squares. How to make the squares interesting? I want to experiment with this concept and dig deeper .I will appreciate any suggestions of artists that work in this style.

How to begin with no idea of what to paint? Spend a lot of time squeezing out luscious color while stalling for some inspiration

Set some surface up and randomly lay on some charcoal and grey paint...and then let the work begin to reveal itself

My car is packed with boards, canvas, paints and oil sticks...heading to the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown to be inspired and hang with other painters. OH BOY!
