YELLOW CAN

This painting is a commission for my very dear friends from VT. We love the farm stand on Martha's Vineyard that sells pizza sauce cans filled with healthy, gorgeous zinnias.
I hope they like it. I do. It makes me feel happy remembering hot summer days and fun times spent with them.

  5. I am loving this one- squinting down and looking at all the gorgeous darks that just hold this painting together is amazing. The darks on the window pane, the deepest part of the flowers, the beautiful deep goldy yellows of the can and the shadows are the best!! Love then the bright pops of happy reds and greens that just sing. A new favorite:)

  13. I know I'm late to the party, but I just have to crash it to say how much I like how you use such color to keep these flowers so alive. Your friends are lucky to have the moment last forever.
