PAINTING AN OBJECT

WISHING WELL

I have been asked to paint a "Wishing Well" for a wedding present. It is challenging to pant an object rather than a feeling. This is one of the  studies for a larger painting. How to funk up a wishing well and make it a joy for the bride and groom and still feel proud that the work is not just a pretty picture. Any ideas?

    Can you get a photo of their property, and "insert" a wishing well into the setting?

    This is so nice, Page... inserting the well by "their" house would be even better if you can find a photo...however, I love this one also.

    ...maybe an unusual perspective?...ants eye view...birds eye biew...inside the well looking out? ha ha...now that would be a challenge!
    or maybe unexpected colours... Good luck, i"m sure they'll love whatever you do...your work is great!

    Pretty pictures have their place...really. Your painting of the wishing well will be your own special twist on things...just what they are looking for.
