Love this, and the sentiment. I don't mind Summer being over because, to me, September is the sweetest month. So drop dead gorgeous I could cry! The grass is lush, the flowers are back, the air has a tinge of crispness.. and I for some reason always am filled with hope. Think it harks back to grade school, where this could be the 'best' year!
While I am lamenting the end of summer approaching and agree with you Page, reading Kelley's optimistic view above does help a little. It also helps that it will be warm here through October but I am stubbornly attached to summer as my favorite season. Maybe this will be the best Fall ever! And more importantly I came here to comment on your wonderful painting. You are such a great designer and I love the colors.
